1. What are microgreens?
Microgreens are young, nutrient-rich seedlings of vegetables and herbs harvested just after the cotyledon leaves develop. They contain higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants than their mature counterparts.
2. Why are microgreens considered so nutritious?
Microgreens can contain 4–40 times more nutrients than mature plants. They are packed with vitamins A, C, K, E, essential minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, chlorophyll, and beneficial plant compounds.
3. How are microgreens different from sprouts?
Sprouts are grown in water and eaten with the seed and root, while microgreens are
grown in soil or growing media and harvested as leafy shoots. Microgreens have more flavor, better texture, and higher nutritional density.
4. Are microgreens safe to eat raw?
Yes. Microgreens are grown under hygienic, controlled conditions and are safe to consume raw in salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and meals.
5. How often should I eat microgreens?
Daily consumption is ideal. Even a small handful can significantly boost nutrient intake and overall wellness.
6. Can microgreens replace vegetables?
They can’t entirely replace whole vegetables but can significantly enhance nutritional value when added to meals.
7. Are microgreens good for kids and elderly people?
Yes. Their soft texture and high nutrient concentration make them excellent
for all age groups.
8. Do microgreens taste different from mature vegetables?
Yes. Microgreens usually have a more intense, concentrated flavor, adding freshness and vibrancy to any dish.
How to Store LiveMicrogreens – FAQs
1. How long do live microgreens stay fresh?
Live microgreens can stay fresh for 7–10 days when properly cared for, sometimes even longer depending on the variety.
2. Should I refrigerate live microgreens?
No. Live trays should not be refrigerated. Keep them at room temperature in a well-ventilated space with indirect sunlight.
3. How do I water my live microgreens?
Water once daily or as needed:
- Lift the grow mat slightly and pour a small
amount of water into the tray bottom, OR - Mist lightly from the top if the surface looks dry.
Avoid overwatering as it can cause mold.
4. How do I harvest live microgreens?
Use clean scissors to cut just above the grow medium. Harvest only what you need to retain maximum freshness.
5. Can I wash microgreens after harvesting?
Yes—rinse gently under cool water. Use immediately or pat dry and refrigerate for
short-term storage.
6. How do I store harvested microgreens?
Store them in an airtight container lined with a dry tissue. Refrigerate and use
within 2–3 days for best freshness.
7. Can live microgreens regrow after cutting?
Most microgreens do not regrow after harvesting. They are designed to deliver maximum nutrients in a single growth cycle.
8. Where should I keep my tray at home?
Place it in a cool, ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources. A kitchen counter or dining space works well.
9. What if I notice mold?
Remove affected areas immediately. If mold spreads, discard the tray. Proper ventilation, correct watering, and avoiding excess moisture prevent this.
10. Do live microgreens need sunlight?
Indirect sunlight is enough. Avoid direct harsh sun, which can wilt the greens.
Subscription FAQs
1. What subscription plans do you offer?
We offer three options:
- Single Tray – ₹400: One-time delivery of one microgreen tray.
- Twin Tray – ₹750: One-time delivery of two microgreen trays.
- Quad Tray – ₹1200: Weekly delivery of one tray for 4 weeks (total: 4 trays per month).
2. How does the Quad Tray subscription work?
You’ll receive one fresh tray of microgreens every week for a month (in all 4 trays a month). Your first delivery shall commence 5-7 days after placing the
order and making payment.
3. Can I choose different microgreens for each delivery?
Yes! You may select your preferred microgreens for each tray. For the Quad Tray plan, you can choose from the various bunched categories containing different
microgreens.
4. Is there a minimum subscription period?
No. You may subscribe for a single month or continue for as long as you wish.
5. How do I pay for my subscription?
Payments can be made via UPI or bank transfer only. For all types of subscriptions, payment has to be made in advance.
6. Can I pause or reschedule my weekly delivery?
Yes. You may pause, skip, or reschedule your weekly Quad Tray delivery by notifying us at least 24 hours in advance.
7. What if I’m not home during delivery?
We will attempt delivery the next day. the tray will be delivered the next day, subject to availability and freshness.
8. Do microgreens come with soil or in ready-to-harvest form?
All trays are delivered fully grown and ready to harvest, ensuring maximum freshness and nutrition. Microgreens are sown in cocopeat which can be reused in flower pots.
9. Can I switch to a different plan later?
Absolutely! You can upgrade or downgrade between plans anytime before your next billing cycle.
10. Are there any discounts available?
Yes! Early Bird discounts apply to the first set of customers:
- First 10 customers for Single and Twin Tray offers get 10% off.
- First 25 subscribers for the Quad Tray plan get 10% off the first month.
11. What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver across select locations. Please check with us for delivery availability in your area.
12. How fresh are the microgreens?
All microgreens are grown under controlled, hygienic conditions and delivered within hours of harvest for maximum flavor and nutrition.
